1993-4 Collection
This collection predates the Texas Historical Commission's Historic Courthouse Preservation Program. I began this series of works within the month following the disastrous fire which left the Hill County courthouse in ruins. (On its own initiative, the Hillsboro community, among whose numbers was Willie Nelson, raised the initial funding and five years later, the resplendent restored Hill County courthouse stood tall.) A photo essay of mine which appeared in the February 1994 issue of the Texas Bar Journal led to sales which funded my trips around the state. Within five months from the article, the collection had grown from 18 to over 180!
